The
Story
The name DreLovesGod says it all, but let me tell you more about me. I was born and raised in Oakland, California, where I spent most of my childhood watching my mother's (Dolores Griffin-Davis's) gifts manifesting right before my eyes. Self-taught and anointed by God, my mama became a well-known musician throughout the Bay Area. I thank God the apple didn't fall far from the tree. I started writing poems, songs, and music as a young boy. I have sung in choirs, created choirs, and sung in and created music groups.

I have worked with some of the industry's best artists, producers, and musicians, in addition to being a part of some great music teams in the industry, including Bay Area's gospel icon Tremaine Hawkins, Alonzo Jackson, Taura Stinson, Dawn of En Vogue, Tony Toni Tone's Carl Wheeler and Elijah Baker, the Bay Area's American Idol, Latoya London, Pink, Chante' Moore, Destiny's Child, and more. I studied music theory and psychology in college and am honored to be a part of Deborah Cox's record-breaking platinum album, One Wish, where I wrote the song, It's Over Now. I have learned the business's good, bad, and ugly and wouldn't trade any of my experiences.
My years in the industry have provided valuable life lessons that have helped form me, DeAndre LaMont Griffin, also known as DreLovesGod. I am honored to introduce myself to you through what I love doing and the gifts God has given to me.
Who knows, a lyric, melody, song, or just a few notes in the music might be what you need to hear today. I pray you're encouraged, inspired, and ultimately blessed by what God has entrusted me to give you through my music!
